My all-time favorite pizza parlor when it comes to thin-crust pizzas is Shakey's. Singapore had a few outlets before but they all closed down permanently so I was ecstatic to learn that there is Shakey's near our place.
First Impressions
Shakey's Pizza Parlor was newly opened when we visited and the dining setup was a typical family casual dining restaurant. They have tables with communal seats which is perfect for small group gatherings.
The ambiance was cozy and the area was spacious with soft Korean pop music playing in the background.
The Staff
The waitress who accommodated us was very welcoming. Something that I truly miss, Filipino hospitality. She can straightaway tell that my wife and I were "balikbayans" (Filipinos shortly visiting the Philippines while working or living in another country) and told us that her older brother is also working in Singapore.
She also told us that she wishes to visit Singapore soon when she saved enough money. Her brother always brags about how clean and advance Singapore is compared to the Philippines.
The Service
The service was superb. The waitress gave us more attention than we expect. Probably because we came in a lean period of time and only a few customers were there. Or maybe she felt comfortable with our company?
She offered us some promotions they have and talked about their dishes and the portions available.
The food was served to us at a reasonable time and the waiting time was shorter than expected. Paying the bill through the same waitress was prompt which was a plus factor to me.
The Food
You do not come to a pizza parlor without ordering pizza so we got what the friendly waitress recommended to us as their best seller - the Shakey's Special Pizza which was prized at Php 303.00.
It was made with thin pizza dough and topped with generous amounts of ground beef, slices of Italian sausage, salami, mushrooms, and thin slices of bell pepper and onion.
It was served on a wooden platter that somehow enhances the flavor of the pizza. There were lots of mozzarella cheese toppings that stretches in every bite. It was served hot and you can smell the smoky aroma as if it just comes out of the oven. I was flavorful and we liked it very much.
Shakey's Special Pizza
Mojos were thick sliced potatoes that were cut like scalloped potatoes and battered with Shakey's secret recipe then deep-fried until golden brown. Mojos were prized at Php 356.00 per basket.
Every bite bursts with rich flavor. Dip it in with the white sauce that comes together with it and you can taste the tangy flavor. It was really crispy, tasty, and very addicting.
Basket Of Mojos
Also, it was not that hot anymore when it was served and the chicken tends to be a bit hard to cut and chew. It also tastes a bit salty and dry that we forced ourselves to finish the entire serving.
It was priced at Php 357.00 which I honestly think is a bit pricey for its quality and portion size.
Fried Chicken
And finally, we enjoyed their version of a root beer float. Prized at Php 90.00 per mug, this cold and refreshing root beer was topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Our Take
It was like walking through memory lane. We highly recommend the Shakey's Special Pizza and Mojos potatoes. A&W Root Beer Float is still better than Shakey's version but was still a good alternative if you are craving for a cold root beer float. And lastly, we suggest you avoid ordering their fried chicken.
Operations
They are open daily from 9:00 AM until 8:30 PM and accepts all major credit cards and cash payment.
