BRAZA Churrascaria Brazilian Steakhouse: An All You Can Eat Meat Restaurant

After a successful system implementation with our client in Hong Kong, our Project Manager hosted a congratulatory dinner for our team to enjoy. We unanimously voted to dine in a steakhouse and ended making reservations to an all-you-can-eat Brazilian grilled meat in skewers.

First Impressions

BRAZA Churrascaria is located on the 3rd floor of the Grand Progress Building in Central Hong Kong. We need to use a narrow staircase to go up and it was not a grand entrance at all.

But once you are in the restaurant it is like you are in a whole new world. They set up the ambiance with the sights, sounds, and aromas of Brazil.

The Staff

The waiter that greeted us was courteous and friendly. We showed him our table reservation and he asked us if it was our first time visiting Braza. He explained to us their method of service where they will serve us with different cuts of beef, lamb, pork, and chicken.

He ushered us to our tables and explained to us about the special coaster. There are two sides colored green and red. The green side has a print saying I am still Hungry and the red side says No more Thank you.

He then guided us to the Starter Table where there was a free-flow of traditional Brazilian dishes, cured meats, lots of cheese, and different kinds of sauces.

The Service

It was basically self-serve at the Starter Table where you can fill your plate with a widespread of freshly prepared in-house seasonal salads.

After this, you can go back to your seat, make sure your coaster's green side is up, and the waiters will keep on coming offering different cuts of perfectly seasoned charcoal-grilled meat presented in sword-like skewers.

There will never be a dull moment.

The Food

The first meat that was offered to us was the Churrasco Porco which is a slow-roasted pork chop. When they set the skewer at the table and primed their sharp knife at a perfect location, they will ask you to hold the meat with your tongs so they can slice through it.

You can smell the smoky aroma while the meat was being cut. The pork was seasoned very well and very tender to bite. It was also moist and very juicy.

Next in line was the Churrasco Cordeiro which were big slabs of Australian lamb sliced off the bone. The aroma of the meat being cut in front of you will make your mouth water. You can tell from the pinkish color of the meat how tender and juicy it was.

The Grilled Pork Ribs were glazed with their special Braza Sticky Sauce. The meat falls off the bone easily and was succulent indeed. If you are eating it by hand, the sauce will surely stick to your fingers and you can't help but lick it good.

The Churrasco Carne were delicious and tender cuts of charcoal-grilled prime beef. The red meat was soft, chewy, and moist and you can smell its flavorful aroma. Salted to perfection and with the right amount of seasoning.

The salads, cheese sticks, and cured meat compliments the all-you-can-eat meat. If you are adventurous, you can try the traditional Brazilian dishes.

Our Take

It was a bit expensive for a price of HK $388 per person but the overall experience was great that we highly recommend you give it try if you are visiting Hong Kong. The ambiance is a bit noisy though as the restaurant tends to be crowded late at night.

Operations

They are open daily from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Major credit cards and cash payments are accepted here.
