Morganfield's is an authentic, good old-fashioned, American prime barbeque ribs casual restaurant.
First Impressions
Morganfield's is situated at the 2nd level of The Star Vista which is very near to the Buona Vista MRT station. The restaurant has a perfect view of the Buona Vista skyline. It has a spacious and cozy dining area with a rustic interior design. It has plenty of communal seats which is ideal for group gatherings.
The lighted Sticky Bones signage stand out and is a nice spot to take photos with your family, friends, and loved ones.
The Staff
The server that greeted us at the entrance was very friendly. He gave us an option whether we prefer to be seated on individual chairs with adjoined tables or communal seating.
They have a widespread of western cuisine in their menu and the server was helpful in giving recommendations and what their bestsellers are. He also handed us aprons for us to wear while eating.
And because it was my birthday then, the server mentioned that they can provide us with a complimentary single-serve birthday cake. How wonderful is that!
The Service
The service was fast, efficient, and orderly. They served us our drinks first followed by appetizers. Then the main dishes were served shortly after that. We requested to have our desserts to be given a bit later.
The payment was also a breeze and we did not wait that long to fulfill it. You can ask for the bill, hand them your credit card and they will process the payment and return your card. That's it! Everything settled.
The Food
Let us start with the appetizers.
The Pop Corn Pork is pork cubes marinated with Morganfield's secret spice mix and deep-fried until golden brown. It was crispy, easy to chew, and very flavorful. Dipping it to their signature Garlic Aioli and BBQ Ranch sauce enhances the taste even more.

Pop Corn Pork
The Pork Belly Burnt Ends is one of their bestsellers which, according to the server, is very addictive. And he was right. These burnt ends were cubed pork belly, the rind taken off, with substantial fatty meat. They were rubbed with flavorful spices and then smoked. Then they were grilled and caramelized with special sauce making it delectable and tender.

First was the Surf & Turf Combo Platter which contains a half slab of baby back ribs with Hickory BBQ flavor, Beer-battered Hoki Fish Fillet, Grilled Sausages, Garden Salad, Macaroni and Cheese, and French Fries.
The Hickory BBQ pork ribs were succulent and hearty. It was very tender that the bones can easily fall off. With every bite, you can savor the rich flavor and smell the scent of grilled and smoked hickory.
The Beer-battered Hoki Fish Fillets was also delicious. It was crisp and melts-in-your-mouth. There was a small hint of the beer's sweet aroma. Sprinkling it with juice coming from the small lemon wedge adds tanginess to its already delectable taste.
My daughter liked their Macaroni and Cheese. The pasta was not mushy and it was generously coated with cheddar cheese and you can savor the buttery goodness the moment you put it in your mouth.
The Grilled Sausages were liked by my son. It was very tasty and not salty. The Garden Salad, tossed with a light dressing, complements the all-meat dish.

Surf & Turf Combo Platter
Our next main is Morganfield's signature Sticky Bones Spare Ribs generously loaded with garlicky barbeque goodness. The special sauce was a succulent concoction of tangy, sweet, and spicy flavors.

The full slab of this Sticky Bones was surprisingly large. According to the server, these spare ribs were flown from the United States and were cut from the pork belly where the rib meat is fattier, meatier, and juicer. It was cooked "low and slow" that is why it has that fall-off-the-bone tender perfection. It was served with French Fries, Coleslaw, and gravy on the side.

Last of the main dish was the Half & Half Combo Platter which has two halves of Garlic BBQ Sticky Bones and Smoked Peppercorn Baby Back Ribs. The smoked peppercorn was spicy and has the aroma of smoky black pepper. The sauce was rich, dark, and intense with a bit of sweet flavor.
Like the Surf & Turf, this combo was served with Grilled Sausages, Garden Salad, Coleslaw, and French Fries.

Chocolate Fudge Brownie
This delicious Bread Pudding was filled with Jack Daniel's Whiskey sauce and topped with vanilla ice cream.

The Chocolate Lava Cake was the last dessert served to us. It was moist and warm and was filled with rich molten chocolate inside. It goes well together with a serving of vanilla ice cream.

Our Take
Overall, we have a fabulous dining experience with Morganfield's. We will definitely come again. We highly recommend their signature Sticky Bones and you can choose your own flavors: Hickory BBQ, Smoked Peppercorn, Garlic BBQ, Kansas Sweet BBQ, and Spicy Asian BBQ.
Operations
They are open from Sunday to Thursday from 11:00 AM to 10:30 PM and 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays.
They accept all major credit cards, NETS, and cash payments.
